Future-Focused Live Q&A: AI Red Lines, Founders Calling For AI Stop, and Digital Clones of the Dead

Answering Your Questions About This Week’s Biggest Events at the Intersection of Business, Tech, and People

Happy Friday Everyone! As we say in the Midwest, “Uff-dah.”

Today’s livestream was a bit of a unique one. I had my nice 10 questions and 3 topics all outlined; however, there was a lot coming in from the audience and the initial topic was both meaty and timely. So, I didn’t get through all that I’d planned, but I actually kind of appreciated that. I do this for everyone’s benefit, so if the deviations are for the benefit of the audience, it’s worth it.

As a reminder for next week, if there are trending topics you’d like me to cover or questions you want answered live, send me an email or DM. I build these sessions around the questions you’re asking most, but will also continue to take questions live.

Now, this week’s Q&A centered around three major topics:

  • Drawing AI Red Lines

  • When the Big Tech Builders Say Stop to ASI

  • Deathbots and Digital Immortality

Share

Now, here were the questions:

Drawing AI Red Lines

  • Should we even have red lines — or are we trying to control the uncontrollable?

  • What can we realistically do when so much is outside our control?

  • How do we balance oversight and freedom — protecting people without treating them like children?

When the Big Tech Builders Say Stop to ASI

  • When the creators of AI say “halt,” what should we take from that?

  • Why do we keep hitting the brakes only after it’s too late?

  • How do we discern whether these warnings are caution or self-interest?

Deathbots and Digital Immortality

  • So, these questions didn’t quite make it in, but I did hit on my position on the risks of deathbots and some other death/AI related questions throughout.

Alright, that’s it for this week.

Next week, I’ll be putting together another set of topics for the live Q&A, and it’s already shaping up to be a big one. If something in the news catches your eye or you’d like my take on a trend, send it my way. These sessions exist for our community, and your input shapes every episode.

With that, we’ll see you on the other side.
