Weekly Update Q&A - June 27

A live Q&A in response to the latest Future-Focused video podcast.

Thanks to all of you who were able to join the live session.

As I mentioned in the stream, this is a Q&A based on what came through from people in response to the release of this week’s podcast (also on YouTube), doing a mid-year check-in on my top realistic predictions for 2025. If you missed the original, you can check that out on Spotify or YouTube.

Here are the ten questions I covered.

  1. “How do I know if our organization is already drifting—and what’s the first thing I should do if we are?”

  2. “What does ‘discernment’ actually look like when making AI-related decisions at the leadership level?”

  3. “You mentioned that we’re cutting based on assumptions. How should companies actually validate whether AI can replace or augment a role?”

  4. “How do we balance moving fast with being responsible—without getting stuck in ‘wait and see’ mode?”

  5. “What does it look like to build an actual AI strategy—not just a tools list?”

  6. “What are some signs we’ve built black box dependencies without realizing it?”

  7. “How do I talk to my executive team or board about these risks without sounding like I’m just paranoid or resistant to progress?”

  8. “What should we be doing to support our teams so they’re not just using AI, but using it well?”

  9. “What are the risks leaders still aren’t talking about—but should be?”

  10. “What’s the difference between being aware and being prepared—and how do we cross that gap?”

I hope you found these helpful, and keep an eye out for my deeper reflection on the three cracks I see forming as all this comes to light.

Have a great weekend!
